George was born in Schw-Hall the son of:

David Friedrich Koch (1798-1867) and Anna Elisabeth Gross (1795-1870)

Elizabeth Seckel, born in nearby Crailsheim, was the daughter of:

Wilhelm Sigmund Karl Seckel (1789 Gaildorf - 1837) and Sophia Christiane Müller (b. 1787 Crailsheim)
